I have been awake for at least 1- 1/1/2 hours each night, but I guess that is my body prepping me for the upcoming tasks. We are almost done with home preparations and work; well, work will never be done because we are so busy. In case you didn’t know. I am going to try and be a stay-at-home mom. I may change my mind after a few months. We’ll see. I love working and it is hard to imagine giving up that part of my life. However, I do a lot of daydreaming about what life as a new stay-at-home mom could be, and that excites me!
I am posting some pictures of two of the three showers that
were thrown for baby Landry. The first shower was basically a party thrown by our closest friends Hans and Kindal. It was very relaxed and I think everyone enjoyed themselves! I don’t have pictures of the second shower yet, which was thrown by my boss Nanette and people at work. That was a more traditional shower thrown on Sunday. Jo Ann came with me and it was very nice. The last shower was given by Mary Bishop and Karen Rupp for the Economics Department Friday night. It was a pot luck affair. There were tons of food, people, and kids. It was really great to see the entire crew. We have felt overwhelmed by family and friend support! We have received lots of gifts and feel well prepared with all the essential equipment for a newborn and then some.We will keep everyone informed of the latest events and hope everyone is doing well. I am glad Braden is enjoying school and almost done with potty training. I know Jillian is growing like a weed and even walking at 9 months. That is amazing. It is hard to believe she will almost be a year. Time flies and I realize more and more how precious it is and how important it is to appreciate each day!
Take care family!
Love,
Kristen
